Is there a minimum number of LED's that you should have for the sound react to work as it should?

Couple quick questions if you don’t mind. Looking at the BTF lighting WS281 4 32 foot Cobb strip and the. Alitove 24v 144w. Wondering if I can extend the strip lights past 32 feet and if so, would it require a power injector. I’m also looking at the ericsity wledesp32 to control everything and not sure if that has any length limitations. Thanks so much just getting into this brand new.

If you don't like ferrules, you could always use ring terminals with the chassis power supply. You just need to make sure you have the right terminals for the screws (ex. #8 ring terminal)

I use AliExpress for all electronic parts and LED and esps. Ali is massive cheaper!!! Just need to wait 2 weeks. I'm in Arizona. Never had an issue. AliExpress is amazing. Exact same parts as amazon and even same selifane packaging. So same seller on amazon or someone buys a bunch and resells on Amazon.

Would love some advice, regarding a controller what works with Phillips Hue Bridge. I have bought and installed the BTF-LIGHTING FCOB SPI RGB Flexible High Density LED Strip COB WS2811 IC LED Strip 5M 630LEDs/m 14W/M DC24V White PCB IP30 Chasing Colour……and the picked up a controller recommended by Amazon which uses a app called Magic Home. Whilst good, I can’t seem to link it to Hue nor link it to any other non Hue motion sensors I have. As a last resort I could by a hue smart plug to controller the LED’s, but ideally I’d like integration with Hue. Any recommendations to achieve compatibility with hue?

man i cant stand their product releases... sometimes i get all the emails in the world, some times nothing, some websites have them listed some dont (if i use a facebook add link to their site some product releases are not listed compared to going to it from a browser.) same thing with their sales, certain links have different sales and its kind of shady bullshit in my opinion. Even though i love govee and have so many of their products, i really dont agree with how they operate some things.

Hi Chris, love your work. Hope you dont mind if i ask a question. I'd like to put some LED's around a sign and to scroll through some colours would be good. Once I set it up there will be no-one to control it (set and forget). They will switch on and off through a timer (probably be on for 4 to 5 hours). What sort of strip and control system would you recommend. Thanks

Just bought and installed mine today! They seem cool and it looks like the LEDs face the diffuser. I did, however, think I messed the strip up while bending it around an outside corner. Actually, you would be the one who would tell me if this is strange or not! I thing a group of LEDs (I assume its controlled by 3s) is not working correctly. The green goes out almost completely when the strip brightness goes below 5%. Everything is fine any brighter but I only noticed when I had it on "white" and at 1% and that group was purple. Since red and blue makes that color I knew it was green and sure enough, putting it on green only showed the problem. Now why would only one color do that? What could I have damaged that would only have one color on the chip go dim but be ok at brightness past 5%?

This is insane. Any way to do this with a regular TV (not a projector that projects the pc screen)? I can't think of a way without using cameras, but even Goove's solution (though it's accurate) requires one and it just looks tacky having a camera on the top of your tv. Nice video!

CHRIS! I just posted a video of mine! I was a tester for these lights and these things are absolutely THICK as hell! Which is a great thing because they're different than the other Neon Flex lights, they're wider than a quarter (the coin) and are kind of V shaped in a way underneath to fit snuggly in a corner of a wall. The mounting brackets they include are cool, but the top of my lights started falling down a little so I'd definitely recommend grabbing yourself an extra roll of the 3M VHB tape. The lights are perfect for a PC setup or game/kids room. I also know you're gonna come up with something absolutely ridiculous with them considering they do NOT have the dedicated Warm/Cool White LEDs (bummer for a lot of people) But great for LED Connoisseurs like yourself. Can't wait till you get yours and you drop the video!!!! And the most anticipated video I'd ever wait for is your Govee COB Lights video .. I know you're getting them lol rumor has it they retail almost $200 for 16ft 🥺🥺

How do you sequence the LED's to run a pattern where they "run off" onto the next row of LED's?

I know the LEDs facing backward is for diffusing reasons but I genuinely wonder if they'll ever just... flip the LED strip forward and sell it as a magically brighter-than-ever product with the price jacked up.

Chris, have you tried to control other Nanoleaf products via WLED? It would be really nice to be able to do that instead of depending on their control unit and their app.

Thanks for the video. I have a question that you might be able to answer: How can I watch my Smart TV apps via the Fantasy 3 Box with background lighting? Everything that is plugged in via HDMI works perfectly (PC, Playstation etc) and is also recognised in the app, but the TV apps (Smart TV apps) are not synchronised. I have connected the Fantasy Box with HDMI TV Out to the TV, but somehow I have no signal from the TV to the box. Thank you in advance.

How about a parking guide in a garage? Guide and alignment and stop point based on sensor inputs that adjust light sequence, color, speed. Different colors to go left/right, different speed and color for distance remaining to go, some sort of color or pattern change for stopping. That could be fun.

Great demo. Unfortunately I was only able to get 13' of splice and I needed 16'. Anything over 13' would cause flickering on the last strand or two.

Someone needs to make a silicone insert diffuser (like the Govee desk light) that fits in an aluminum channel. You could have a very low profile with completely straight lines.

Love your videos, the Govee company is brutal. Customer service is non existent. The products are alright but they've lost all my business.
